About going green and living off the grid.

Click the link below to visit the Facebook page of New Earth homes. Andy Hickman is an old friend of mine and is pioneering "living off the grid homes"
Check it out! Be sure and like his page and contact me if you would like for me to get more information on Earth Homes.

Off Grid home based off of the "Global" model by Michael Reynolds and earthship Biotecture Taos, NM. His house has no affiliation with Earthship Biotecture and was designed and built by New Earth Homes and Andy Hickman.

Mission
To make this model of home available to the masses, not using rammed earth and tires or can walls, rather materials that are acceptable 100% by building code around the country in every county and city.

Description
We’re building an Earthship inspired home, a sustainable off-grid home. The only difference in ours, from the original earthships, is that our foundation is concrete, which allows us to easily pass building codes. Our home will implement the use of thermal mass, solar panels, gray water botanical cells (for reuse and redirection of waste water), solar hot water panels, and cooling tubes as natural air conditioning. Through the use of these systems we will be able to work in harmony with the sun and sky, obtaining all of our resources from nature rather than relying on city municipal services.

We must give thanks to Michael Reynolds and all of the crew at Earthship Biotecture for the internship and building experience they provided. This would not have been possible had it not been for my viewing of "Garbage Warrior" and the available internships with them. THANK YOU.
